About Costa Rica Nature Guide

Our Mission

Costa Rica Nature Guide is an independent editorial publication dedicated to providing comprehensive, factual, and up-to-date information about Costa Rica's extraordinary natural heritage. Our mission is to help travelers make informed decisions about visiting the country's national parks, wildlife reserves, and protected natural areas.

Editorial Independence

We are a fully independent publication. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Sistema Nacional de Áreas de Conservación (SINAC), the Instituto Costarricense de Turismo (ICT), or any other Costa Rican government agency or official tourism organization.

Our editorial content is produced independently and reflects our own research and analysis. All information is gathered from publicly available sources and personal travel experience.

What We Do

We provide:

  • In-depth articles about Costa Rica's national parks and natural areas
  • Practical visitor information including seasonal guides and packing tips
  • Wildlife identification and viewing guides
  • Conservation news and updates
  • Free downloadable visitor guides

What We Don't Do

To maintain our editorial independence:

  • We do not sell tickets or make reservations for park visits
  • We do not accept paid promotional content disguised as editorial
  • We do not claim to represent any official organization
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of pricing or schedule information

Our Commitment to Accuracy

We strive to keep all information current and accurate. However, park regulations, fees, schedules, and conditions change frequently. We strongly recommend verifying all critical details through official Costa Rican government channels before making travel plans.

Sustainability

We are committed to promoting responsible and sustainable eco-tourism practices. Our content emphasizes Leave No Trace principles, ethical wildlife viewing, and support for conservation-focused tourism operators.
